Our Unimaginable World

Everyday all around us, things are happening, that we not aware of. Our planet Earth rotates and we are in constant motion, yet the sensation of movement is not consciously felt. Plants, flowers and our children grow before our eyes, still the action of these changes are not detected in our everyday life.

Each of us has our own part of this world that we dwell in. Our residence, family unit and career are a big part of it, though there is so much more continually taking place around us. The Internet, television and electronic devices keep us informed of these worldly events, but our main focus, remains on what is happening that affects us individually.

Our minds accept what we see as fact. Brittany grew an inch taller, grandfather looks older, or a friend in crisis seems stressed. Changes that occur, but we only recognize the outcome, not the action. The reason for this is that, we do not see the passage of time that creates these changes. The passage of time cannot be seen, yet it does happen.

This passage of time affects many things in our life. Age, the seasons and special moments on this journey of life, that mark it's passing. No one can recall every minute they have lived. Yet, some memories are so powerful, that they can bring an overwhelming amount of emotion that is as real as when we experienced them. Imagine that.

One hundred years ago, no one heard of the computer or Internet, today the world has turned wireless and you not only can speak or see someone miles away, you can also instantly send them a text message.

We went from TV dinners to fast food, surround screen to 3-D and from carrying a book, to holding a library in our hand. Technology can make small things bigger and big things smaller. New scientific frontiers are being discovered and researched. Nanotechnology has proven that there is another world, which is smaller than our eye can see. They are making atomic and molecular devices that are one thousand times thinner than a human hair. Imagine that.

Now multiply that by a billion and to take it to the end of the universe and you have a small glimpse of how unimaginable what we see, think and know today can change.

Think about it. The future holds unimaginable inventions, concepts and discoveries no one has heard of, yet. Maybe they will find a new source of energy or an alternative universe or answers to life's most unexplainable questions. What is our origin? Where are we in the universe and does it have a beginning or end? Is there other life out there?

We live in an exiting time, even though some of the greatest mysteries are still unimaginable. We all need to look into the future and leave our three dimensional concept behind. Life is, like art. It can be seen at face value or in abstract design.

The future is a blank page waiting for the artist's greatest imagination to fill it. Let go of your optical theoretical limits and dare to imagine the unimaginable.

I am an author and a mystic and live in Portland, Oregon with my husband. My book was inspired by a true story and takes place in Santa Barbara, Calif. from 1920-1997. It is a trip back in time to the Hearst era, movie stars and how corruption can lead to murder. Please check out my blog: michelemarietate.com
